New Suncoast valve body and now NO overdrive! Help!

I posted in the eng/tran forum too, but anyway, I have a 2003 ctd HO with 48re, etc, see signature, 110k miles. I took the rig into dodge over a lurching/shift hunt situation between 1st and 2nd gear. They replaced the tranny filter and pressure transducer and put it back together. It still did the same thing but even worse. They told me it hten needed a valve body, so I called Suncoast and spent the 689 bucks for a valve body WITH electrics, since the truck has some age on it, I was TRYING to be proactive with maintenance/repair. They waitied until 15 minutes of closing and told me it would NOT shift to Overdrive now. They were right. THe good news is the new valve body cured the shift hunt/lurching/bucking previously experienced and the shifts are now crisp and firm. WHat now? I spent 1200 bucks to have no overdrive?
