About 1-2k miles ago I was driving to work and my truck lost all power and sounded rough and ran a little rough. It runs enough where I can drive but with little to no hp. I limped it back home and replaced the air and fuel filter. Problem solved!

Today on my way to work 1-2k miles later its doing the same thing again. When this happens it does turn on the check engine light which I will try to get a code for.

Last Oil Change 3k Miles ago
Use - pulls a 13k 32' fifth wheel. Been on about 9 trips since last oil/fuel with 2 being in the 60 mile range, 1 in the 200 mile range and rest local. Drives to work and back one day a week unless out camping.

Do I need to change the fuel filter this often or is something else wrong? I fuel up at the Quiktrip truck stop on I-80 using the big rig pumps.

9-16 6:30CST - Posting this in the 911 section as my truck is dead.

I swapped the fuel filter and its still doing the same thing.

Is there anything else I can do before I take it to the dealership?
