O6 died out Smarty won't return to stock

Yesterday I'm driving down the road and my truck just dies out. Check engine light came on and "check gauges" was high lighted on the dash. Its the truck in my signature an 06 2500. It is still under warranty. When I plugged in the smarty to return it to stock so I can take it to the dealer the Smarty wouldn't do it. I get a message "Can error #117 Wrong Comm". Anyone know what's wrong?
