Help!
12 I am sitting in the Cummin's shop in Eugen, OR awaiting a turbo which they are not sure will solve my problem. Last Thursday I lost power, the exhaust temp climbed rapidly, the boost pressure dropped to nearly zero and I was belching black smoke.
Went into a 5 star dealership in Cottage Grove who said my lift pump was bad and had to be replaced. Since I failed to remove my mods, I was informed my warranty was no good and the price was $600.00 which I had to pay.
Hit the road again and again the same problem.
The dealership gave up and set an appointment with Cummin's in Eugene where I am now awaiting a turbo to be shipped from Mexico. I was told the turbo fan did not turn freely and they thought that was the problem. Before I pay $1,000.00 for another turbo that might solve the problem and might not. Has anyone had this problem before and what solved it?
