headlights won't come on!

i had them on driving to work in the dark yesterday... got back in the truck to go to the parts house an hour later, and i've only got parking lights. i checked the fuse in the engine compartment panel, and it's fine.. is there another fuse/relay/something i don't know about? could it be the switch itself? i've never been much for doing electrical diagnoses (and i don't want to take the dashboard apart).
