Rear Diff Sensor

2000 24v T.D. 4+4, Quad Cab 3.55:1 rear drum brakes.

I am having problems with ABS & Brake light coming on and also rear brakes activating on/off while in motion. I removed the rears last night, had to replace the shoes, the left rear was down to the rivets. I also installed new front pads.
The ABS light came on three days ago, noticed the brakes activating on the way home from work.
I searched the the history and have 2 pages of notes, all refere to rear diff sensor.
Park brake - o.k.
Fuses - O.K.
Connections - O.K.
Fluid - O.K.
Cycled key switch and display shows P Done, no codes display, even the familiar P1693(???)
I have the rear diff sensor in hand, it measures 1.830 ohms.
Any suggestions?? On all the searches, no one said that the rear brakes were on/off as mine.
