engine died...

Need serious help! Was coming back from the w/e yesterday pulling the loaded car trailer when 90-minutes into the trip while climbing a short grade @ approx. 70mph (outdoor temp 95F, engine temp ~185F, pre-turbo exhaust ~1000, fuel pressure 9psi) when the engine just died! Coast over the hill and down the other side to an exit ramp... where the truk will not restart!

Lift pump runs ~13psi.
Filter canister full... fuel at the injection pump line in.
Fuel system relay seems ok... swap w/ another does not change situation.
If I crack open a hard line to an injector... no fuel!
Have finished dragging the dead carcass home... what's the ailment? what should I look at next?
