Occasional loss of power brake boost

Search forums is not working this eve. so I will give this a shot.

1998 12v quad 4x4..... Have been having an intermittent problem with the brakes. Most of the time they function normally. Occasionally I start braking just slightly and it feels normal, but a slight bit more pressure and I seem to loose the brake boost with the pedal becoming very hard to push to stop the truck. Steering seems normal during this time so I do not think it is the P.S. pump. This is a Hydro boost system. Not Vac. I see no leaks inside the cab or under the hood. My thoughts were its time for a new hydro/a boost. Are rebuild kits avail?
