no oil pressure

My guage sais some times in the 1mile trip from work to home that I have no oil pressure but I checked and I have plenty of oil. I picked up a manual guage (not yet installed and tested) but I'm not running my truck untill I figure this out. my truck has 151K has my oil pump gone on the fritz? cause most of the time pressure is fine
