Map Sensor Connection

I am installing an Edge comp on an '02 dodge, but appearantly the box is for an '01 and the map sensors are different. If I don't install the boost elbow can I leave the Map sensor portion not plugged up, AND can I get a pigtail later to make it work???????????? My understanding is the map sensor portion is just the boost fooler. Please Help.
