    Bulbs - 4157 LL vs NAK ?

For my '03 the manual calls for 4157 NAK bulbs in the tail lights for the park and turn. All I can find locally are 4157 LL, do I need top special order the NAK bulbs ? Thanks- Steve

The NAK designation stands for "Natural Amber Krypton" Long Life. It's odd to see an amber bulb listed in the tail light position of a full red lens taillight.

Here are some specs for comparison/contrast:

#4157NAK NATURAL AMBER KRYPTON LONG LIFE MINIATURE BULB PLASTIC WEDGE BASE - 12. 8/14. 0 Volt 2. 23/0. 59 Amp Natural Amber Krypton Filled Long Life S-8, Plastic Wedge Base, 24/2. 2 MSCP C-6/C-6 Filament Design, 4,000/10,000 Average Rated Hours, 2. 09" Maximum Overall Length.

#41567 NATURAL AMBER LONG LIFE MINIATURE BULB PLASTIC WEDGE BASE - 12. 8/14 Volt 2. 23/0. 59 Amp Natural Amber Long Life S-8, Plastic Wedge Base, 4,000/10,000 Hour

    Looks like either should work.

Sylvania's website has more info - Looks like the candle power on the LL vs. NAK is a bit different - the LL is brighter.

Silly me - It's because one is Amber. . . one is clear. . .
