Looking for Pictures/Ideas for Nerf Bars on 2014 Ram 3500 CC

As the title says, im looking for pics or suggestions of nerf bars. Really interested in chrome/polished.
I purchased a set of N-Fab 304 polished stainless steel steps, but they did not turn out like I had hoped for. Come to find out, once out of the box, they are Smittybuilt manufactured in China. I installed them, only to find that they have way too much deflection for my 185lb self. So I pulled them back off. Trying not to make the same mistake twice.

I have the factory steps on my 13. They're oval, fairly wide, and little if any deflection. I'm over 250 and can bounce up and down on them with no deflection. I think it all comes down to the brackets. The factory step brackets are pretty monstrous.

I concur with firefighter. I just installed the factory chrome steps and they are hefty. When I ordered, I had to choose between several styles and lengths. There are chrome and stainless and cab or cab/bed length. I preferred the cab length since I will not be reaching over the side of the bed and as for appearance it's a matter of preference. I also preferred the split rubber steps as opposed to one continuous rubber step. On the side of the rubber they there are raised letters spelling out RAM. They ain't cheap though. If you can get a discount for those it would be easier to justify. I could not and had to pay $650.00 for them. However, it stopped my wife from complaining and she said she could put the grappling hook away to climb in now. Well worth the money to keep her happy. Dealers have an after market catalog showing what is available. If you want/need a picture I believe I can provide that.

I put a pair of Westin running boards on my '12 crew cab. From the side they have a kind of semi-nerf look to them but they are actually a full step with a bonded rubber mat. with the crew cab they came with 3 hangers each, I'm 200 lbs and they're pretty solid. My wife likes em better than nerf bars for stable footing getting in and out.Name: polished-running-boards.jpg

I'll actually be making my own out of grip strut - which there is actually a factory set made by Dee Zee - but mine will be wheel to wheel, and be about 1/2 the price. I will have a need to clean the mud off my boots rather frequently when at work.

Mine look a lot like Kirwin's but are the Ram option in chrome. *#@!! computers. I have been trying to upload a photo but failed. I took a photo of my 2004.5 steps to point out that the 2014 steps are further away from the truck and easier to use. Hope that helps explain them.

Mopar does offer a nice looking version with individual black step pads, but the metal for the tube is made of chromed aluminum. You can check it out HERE.

It's a bit more expensive than the stainless steel version on my truck.

    Best regards,

John, those are the exact steps I put on but the picture does not show the plastic cover-ups for the braces that are sent with the kit. BTW...I also noticed that except for the mirrors these are the widest thing on the truck on SRW trucks. Keep that in mine for high curbs. Not a problem on my earlier truck. However a parking post was. Another story...Arrrrrgh.

    Ouch!

If I manage to tear a tube step off our dually, I'd likely have some extensive bed flare damage to deal with also.

Since this is my first dually, I'm being VERY careful!
