I remember a time when I couldn’t wait for the “Big Three” of enthusiast magazines (MotorTrend, Car and Driver, Road & Track) to publish the new car data that would arrive in September.

Today’s new vehicles (notice I didn’t say car, the vehicles are predominantly SUVs), well, for me there just isn’t the same anticipation.

And, with the Big Three focused heavily on the electric vehicles of the future, my enthusiasm is further diminished.

Enough of my thoughts and enough of looking through...
Or, How I Stopped Worrying and Got 13 Years Out of My Ram Cummins Truck Batteries.

With the temperatures dropping, the reality of impending fall and winter weather can't be ignored. So we thought this would be a good time to review what Moses Ludel has to say about keeping our Dodge Ram Cummins' batteries alive.

TDR members, you’ll recognize today’s post as it is excerpted from a past column. This is especially for those occasionally stopping by or just tuning in.

Thank you to everyone who participated! The 2024 TDR calendar contest is now closed (deadline was September 1st). Winners will be announced in early October on the TDR home page and the TDR and Geno’s Garage Facebook pages.

As you can see, the contest submissions are so good, now, the judges have the very difficult task of selecting 13 winners (1 for each month and the cover). On the back cover we can fit 16 additional photos, the "honorable mentions", then we always like to include as many...
EVERYTHING YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT BRAKE FLUID
(AND ARE PROBABLY STILL AFRAID TO ASK)

Because August is National Brake Safety Awareness month, brakes have been on our minds of late and we thought this would be a good time to re-publish James Walker, Jr.’s Turbo Diesel Register article: Brake Fluid Exposé.
TDR members, you’ll recognize today’s post as it is excerpted from a past column. This little “taste of the TDR” is especially for those occasionally stopping by or...

Back in May we had Connie Kiviniemi-Baylor (aka (Nancy Newbie) do an outsider’s look at the TDR magazine’s content. The focus of her review would be, “what could a non-Turbo Diesel owner learn from our publication?” (Hey, if the magazine proves its relevance to your wife, the subscription/membership is a no-brainer.)

Was “Nancy” successful?

Here is her review for you to share with others. And, if not already, please encourage them to join the...

What’s new for the summertime?

First and foremost: Page 4 has the 2024 Calendar Contest announcement. (It’s not like we haven’t been talking about this since May, correct?) So, get those photographs in before 9/4/2023.

For this issue we asked the writers to talk about their...
